What to do this weekend: 29-30 October

ALL WEEKEND

Newhailes Halloween

Have you visited Newhailes House yet? We checked it out a couple of years ago when we were National Trust for Scotland members and even then I felt there was something special about this building (or perhaps we just had a particularly good guide). This Halloween Mercat Tours are doing evening guided tours of the house and there are still a few tickets available - be quick if you don't want to miss it.

29TH OCTOBER, SATURDAY

Halloween Pitt

This looks like a foodie Saturday! Your usual weekly Pitt is on with a Halloween twist. This week's vendors include Harajuku Kitchen, Pizza Geeks and the Bearded Barista. Sign up for the Facebook event here.

North Sea Saga

This weekend the head chef of Norway's Michelin-starred Maaemo will cook for us and we don't even need to take a flight. Esben will bring Norwegian flavours to the Edinburgh Food Studio and we are very much looking forward to this culinary adventure. If you missed out or want to taste more Scandi cuisine, Finnish Michelin-starred chef Sasu is coming to the 'burgh in the beginning of December. Check out the event 'Create from Nothing' and book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Buck & Birch at Colstoun

If you're rather into Scottish flavours and locally foraged ingredients, Buck & Birch will be cooking at Colstoun in East Lothian. A very limited number of tickets still available, check out the Facebook event.

30TH OCTOBER, SUNDAY

Wedding Collective Bridal Market

Planning your big day? Looking for inspiration and local suppliers? Visit the bridal market in Glasgow's St Andrews in the Square. Buy your tickets here.

Have a nice weekend!
