What to do this weekend: 22-23 October

ALL WEEKEND

Play Poland

The Play Poland Film Festival is back with six feature films special screenings and film poster exhibitions both in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Check out the festival programme here.

Halloween Trail

The Botanics has plenty of events going on this autumn! Besides the popular Botanic Lights they also have a Halloween Trail for kids. You can pick up a map for £1 at the John Hope Gateway reception.

Swap-A-Tron

Have you heard about Scotrail's cool new initiative called Swap-A-Tron? The idea behind the Great City Swap is to encourage Edinburghers and Glaswegians to swap city for a day and explore their surroundings. The website is interactive and will offer you tailored itineraries based on your interests, age group and when you are going. I am already planning my next Glasgow trip to follow the Mural Trail.

22ND OCTOBER, SATURDAY

Saturday Brunch

Why not combine Saturday brunch at the Restoration Yard with an autumn walk at Dalkeith Country Park. We have not visited the park since the new cafe & shop opened - very much looking forward to seeing the revitalised and beautifully restored stables.

23RD OCTOBER, SUNDAY

Sunday Art

It's rather chilly outside and the weather forecast is not looking great either. Why not head to the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art to check out their new exhibition with Karla Black and Kisyhio Suga? Also the Artist Rooms exhibition with Joseph Beuys is closing in a week, don't miss it. Free admission.

Have a nice weekend!
