What to do this weekend: 8-9 October

ALL WEEKEND

Edinburgh Restaurant Festival

The Restaurant Fest runs between 6-16 October and it's the perfect excuse to dine out and try some cool venues of the colourful Edinburgh restaurant scene. Over 30 places have signed up including Harvey Nichols, the Balmoral and Cadiz - have a look at the full list here.

Gin Festival

If you are not doing Sober October, you might want to pop in to the Corn Exchange Gin Festival to sample some of the over 100 different kind of gins on offer. There will be live entertainment, talks by gin experts and food to keep you going.

Enchanted Forest

Have you booked your tickets yet to the Enchanted Forest? This year's topic is 'simmer' and they have the same creatives of 59 Productions responsible for the event who did Deep Time for the Edinburgh International Festival. Why not combine your Enchanted Forest experience with a weekend trip to Pitlochry? Sounds like a plan!

8TH OCTOBER, SATURDAY

Pitt Street Food Yard

Foodies, you can get your Saturday lunch/dinner fix as usual at the Pitt. Find there your favourite street food vendors, while drinks are supplied by Barney's Beer, Smith&Gertrude and Cocktails&Drams.

9TH OCTOBER, SUNDAY

Facing the World

Not long to go until the Facing the World exhibition finishes, make sure to check out the self-portraits from Rembrandt to Ai Weiwei.

Have a nice weekend!
