What to do this weekend: 25-26 June

ALL WEEKEND

Royal Highland Show

Everyone loves a hairy highland coo, especially kids and it's a great place for a wee taste of country life. If you're not up for the crowds you might want to consider visiting Gorgie City Farm instead - they are open 7 days a week. Great news that they recently managed to raise the required funds to save the farm thanks to generous public donations.

Leith Late

Another great festival to celebrate Leith this weekend! Expect exhibitions, talks, Mural Tours exploring both historic and contemporary murals, live music and spoken word. The hub of the festival is at the popular Out of the Blue Drill Hall and events are taking place all around Leith Walk.

25TH JUNE, SATURDAY

Solstice Pitt

Celebrate Summer Solstice (a few days late) with street food, drinks and music. The Pitt is on between 12-22pm with the following line-up: Rost Eats, Chompsky, Bearded Barista and others.

Dinner at Jupiter

Jupiter Artland's Milk is hosting a five course dinner at the Proposal Room Cafe. Did you know that Jupiter's sculpture garden has been nominated as Museum of the year by the Art Fund? They are in the final and fingers crossed for a win, they certainly would deserve it.

Ghibli at Cameo

Cameo is showing Studio Ghibli's famous Spirited Away movie - a must if you are into Japanese animation. The English language version's screening is at 11am and they will show the subtitled version on 30th June.

26TH JUNE, SUNDAY

Brunch at Buff Launch

The Buff Concept Store is celebrating their launch with Sunday brunch from 12pm at the Waverley Arches. Pop in to Arch 6 for Blondinex porridge, BrewDog beer and live music. I am particularly looking for smelling all their L:A BRUKET goodies! RSVP for their Facebook event.
