What to do this weekend: 14-15 January

ALL WEEKEND

Eat out!

There are quite a few new spots in the 'burgh we have not yet managed checking out - have you been?

  • Taisteal has just opened in the heart of Stockbridge at 1 Raeburn Place, taking over from Field Grill House.
  • Dishoom has already been open for over a month and we are yet to visit.
  • Forage and Chatter is a new spot at Edinburgh's West End where Edinburgh Larder Bistro used to be.

14TH JANUARY, SATURDAY

Greyfriars Bobby Commemoration Day

Would you believe it? Everyone's favourite Bobby has an actual commemoration day dedicated to him. The 142th Greyfriars Bobby Day will be celebrated with a service at Greyfriars Kirkyard, including a speech from the Lord Provost and some bagpipe music. Don't forget to bring along your dog and gather at 12.45. Sign up for the Facebook event here.

15TH JANUARY, SUNDAY

Get ready for Trainspotting

It's time to watch again Trainspotting, before T2 gets released on 27 January. You could either get a DVD and watch it at home, or could wait a few days until next Tuesday 17 January to watch the 35mm version at Filmhouse - book your tickets in advance here to avoid disappointment. Oh and best to book T2 as well if you don't want to miss out!

Have a nice weekend!
