What to do this weekend 29-30 April

ALL WEEKEND

Trad Fest

Trad Fest Dun Eideann is a signature event of Scotland's Year of History, Heritage and Archeology. The annual showcase of Scotland's traditional arts is now in full swing with 131 events across 34 venues. Expect story, song and dance until 7th May - browse the programme here. Our top pick is the New Town's 250th birthday walking tour by the lovely Jean of Greenyonder Tours.

Artline

Have you heard about the Fife Artline? They are having an Open Doors Weekend this Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 4pm, with a focus on station buildings from North Queensferry to Cupar. Locations are easily accessible by Scotrail.

29TH APRIL, SATURDAY

Custom House Artists' Open Day

Meanwhile in Leith the Custom House and Custom Lane have an open day alongside the usual Saturday Farmers' Market. If you are lucky, you can still get some bargains from the Pad Lifestyle pop-up at Custom Lane.

30TH APRIL, SUNDAY

Beltane Fire Festival

Celebrate the first signs of summer with a Celtic fire festival on the top of Calton Hill. Gates open at 8pm and the event lasts over three hours. Buy your tickets here and don't forget to dress up warm.

Have a nice weekend!
